Great people! Fast and easy communication. It was such a positive experience that I purchased my drone kit from them! Super easy and the kit includes everything you need! They even include videos to set up the drone!
Had some delivery issues handled above and beyond. Great service.
Awesome drone and a great package deal. Worth every penny and looking forward to using it. Shipping and service were great, very simple and easy purchase.
Already having so much fun with my Matrice 4T and can’t wait for the group training! The 24” monitor and power bank make a huge different and are super helpful.
First time thermal video of a hunting area. It was also the first time I used the zoom and video record buttons. Worked very well for a first time user.
First off... Drone Deer Recovery is AWESOME!!! Their service was responsive and their pricing very competitive. I placed a couple of separate orders and each time, they were shipped same day and received in less than 24 hours! I can't even get quotes back from some companies that quickly!!!!
Now on to the drone. I work in public safety and run our drone program. We already have an M30T and a Mavic 3T, but as our program is expanding, I needed to grow our fleet. The IP rating was important because we have weather in our area and we need to be able to fly. I received the Public Safety Package about a week before we experienced historical flooding, as in highest water levels ever recorded. Numerous areas in our jurisdiction were flooded to the point they were inacessible by vehicles. Boats were on the water, but it's a much slower search. Besides my initial test flight, we put over 10 hours of flight time on the new drone in less than 24 hours. It flew over 50 miles and assisted in the assessment and evacuation of numerous residents. I got to the point where I would buckle it in the backseat because it would be used again within minutes. The flight time is great and the batteries charge quickly. The new O4 transmission system is a HUGE upgrade. We're a light suburban area. Generally, the M30T could make it about a mile out without signal degradation. The M4D got out to over 2.5 miles in the same environment. (yes, we are Part 107, but we also have a COW and we are flying within the scope of the waiver).
And I wasn't really thrilled abou the monitor in the box, but it was part of the package. But I became a fan that first day. We have a program that streams our video via the internet, but this was great for everyone on the ground. I set it up on my tail gate and I was able to have my "personal space" while everyone crowded around the monitor instead of the controller. And I ran it for about 8 hours and it maybe used half the battery!
It was great for the few flights I got with it. There ended up being a catastrophic malfunction (at no fault to DDR) and the drone crashed in a river. Fortunately, DJI has taken care of me with the warranty and a new drone is enroute. Other than that, my experience with DDR has been perfect!
Got the drone on Wednesday. Went on a pet recovery Saturday morning. Turns out the dog showed back up, but I still got a few pictures of 2 foxes laying in a cotton field sound asleep. The 4T is awesome.
The course is extremely comprehensive and covers every part of the drone that you need to know about! I was skeptical at first but I was VERY happy to see how in depth the team went on this. I am a very technically/mechanically inclined person and this course helped me learn the ins and outs quicker.
This Drone has been great for us. We just opened our own business “Patterson Drone Services LLC”. Highly recommend using Drone Deer Recovery to get it from. They were quick and easy!
I would rate the SAR Pilot Intro – Thermal Drone Rescue Course as excellent (5 out of 5). The course provided a clear and practical introduction to thermal drone operations, search-and-rescue techniques, and the skills needed to support effective rescue missions.
The team at Drone Deer Recovery is on top of their game. Readily available to answer all of my pre-purchase questions. They have also been very responsive after the sale. Only good things to say about them. Thank you for helping me start my drone adventure!
The Pilot locater app gave me 26 jobs alone last year. I have been called for wildlife recoveries, lost pets, and even and water leak inspections. From people who got my information from this app. Great Purchase and great team.
Thank you DDR!
A few nights after having the drone system, i had to go help a neighbor out in locating 3 horses and a donkey that had gotten out due to a recent storm. They was located in a mater of minutes. I look forward in doing deer recovery’s, and search and rescues in the near future.
I really appreciate the quick response after the purchase. Fantastic on replying to emails. Thank you Loretta. Additionally, the videos are well done. I learned a lot because the instructor goes through things in a very logical way and is a great communicator.
Listing in the pilot directory started generating leads very quickly. This time of year they have been for lost pets, but I’m sure that will change closer to fall. Very pleased so far!
The Matrice 4TD has turned out to be a great drone. The elite kit from Drone Deer Recovery includes everything you need to get serious about a drone recovery business of any shape or size. 100% would buy again

Loretta and the team at DDR represent a top notch, one stop service to this industry. So happy to establish a fantastic business relationship with DDR. Thank you!
With the help of thermal drones, thousands of deer are being recovered that would otherwise have been forever lost. *when flown by a skilled pilot. Unlike dogs that push wildlife in the course of tracking a deer, a drone locates a carcass from 400ft without disturbing wildlife.
See the Difference
Thermal cameras help find wildlife like a moth to a flame. You really have to to see it to believe it.
Here's how it works:
From 400ft, perform grid searches of surrounding area with the thermal camera. In most environments it's possible to search over 400 acres per hour.
Switch to Zoom camera to identify the deer and confirm if it is the buck being searched for.
Drop a pin and recover another buck that may have never been found otherwise.

South Carolina has a rich and complex history that dates back to its establishment as one of the original Thirteen Colonies. It played a significant role in both the American Revolution and the Civil War. In the early 18th century, South Carolina was known for its plantations and export economy, particularly rice and indigo. During the Civil War, it was the first state to secede from the Union, and many key battles took place here. Today, the state is known for its deep Southern culture, beautiful coastlines, and historic sites. To learn more, visit the South Carolina government site or its Wikipedia page.
